I hope you are all having a wonderful day. I am very grateful to be part of this community, and seeing all the posts makes me want to share something as well.
I met some friends after a separation, and we supported each other, which did me a lot of good. However, I always felt that we weren’t quite aligned in terms of healing our wounds. I tried to give them advice to help them improve their lives, as I’ve been trying to do with mine, but it wasn’t very successful. I no longer feel fully aligned with them because I want something different for my life.
Lately, when I reflect on our lives, it seems like they are going backwards, repeating the same mistakes. I am still close to them because of the support we shared in the beginning and because our children get along very well…
Wow! This is such a common thing. I also have a similar situation. I am really sad about it though, bc this person is my oldest friend. I'm actually heartbroken. I agree with Raven, if people don't ask for advice, just listen. Also, you can still be friendly, maybe just place them in an outer circle like Alexis says.
